2018 NFL ICY HOT TD, Week 11

(originally written 9/13/18)

What the hell is NFL ICY HOT TD, anyway? I'll tell you—ICY HOT TD = In Case You Had Other Things To Do.

While some of us are able to watch NFL football all Sunday long and follow it up with postgame analysis/highlight shows well into the night...many of us can't. I aim to bring those fans bits of trivia, data, and news  they likely missed on Game Day.

Such as:

  • In Carolina's 27-24 victory over Green Bay on Thursday Night Football,  Packers TE Robert Tonyan hauled in his first career reception—a 54-yard TD in Q1.

  • Host Atlanta fell to Dallas 22-19, but kicker Matt Bryant hit his 4th 50+-yard FG of the season without a miss; he's 13-for-13 overall.

  • Detroit beat visiting Carolina 20-19; some may say it's because Cam Newton missed open WR Jarius Wright on a do-or-die two-point attempt, but actually it was Mr. Darius Slay of Detroit reaching 21.89 MPH in chasing down Carolina's DJ Moore.
